Celebrations in North America

Celebrations today have long since carried on religious or historical traditions and celebrate anything from the arts to food, beer, science, cartoons, music, literature, winter or summer, theatre, camels, theatre, cheese rolling or wife carrying. Some are weird, controversial, entertaining or downright wonderful like camel wrestling or wild goat racing. They are often a source of entertainment and education and bring travellers into contact with colourful cultures and locations. There are celebrations as diverse as dog sledge racing in Greenland, conch cracking in the Bahamas and the Day of the Dead in Mexico.
Celebrations like the Independence Day on the fourth of July ring about events such as the Presidential address and barbecues, picnics and family gatherings. Thanksgiving on 4th Thursday of every November, St. Patrick’s Day and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. day are celebrated widely by US citizens all over North America
The summer months time is time for Jazz celebrations in many places in North America, particularly in New Orleans and Montreal where there are film celebrations and beer festivals. There are also festivals, which have a feast of rodeo, concerts, chuck wagon races, agricultural competitions, pancake breakfasts and many other events that transform The North American Continent into a cowboy heaven.
