Celebrations in Asia

The Asian continent is the world’s largest and most populated continent covering 8.6 percent of the Earth’s surface area and 29.4 percent of its land. With over 4 billion people, it contains more than sixty percent of the world’s current human population.
Asia, with its cultural and religious diversity and growing affluence, has a vast range of rich celebrations and celebrations. Colourful and festive events unite Asian cultures in a kaleidoscope of diverse native arts & crafts, music, dance, food, martial arts and traditional cultural activities. Mouth-watering cuisine from Indonesia, Korea, China, India, Laos, Vietnam, the Philippines and other nations fulfil the spirit of celebrations in Asia.
Asian life is adorned with celebrations like the week long Ati-atihan Celebration of the Philippines, when people paint their faces with black soot and wear bright, outlandish costumes as they dance in revelry. Another grand Asian celebration is the Nachi-no-Hi-Matsuri of Japan, which begins on the morning of the fourteenth of July every year with music and dance. Others include the famous Horse Racing Celebration of Tibet, Diwali, the celebration of lights, in India and the Chinese New Year.
